Toads are Anphibians and of the Anura fammily as frogs are. Also like frogs, they are part of the Anura family. Their scientific name is "Bufo bufo" A group of toads is a knot. Toads are very similar to frogs, but live in drier places(so they have drier and wartier skin), are less good at jumping, have smaller eyes, and toads' spawn is in a chain.
